The EU might “act quickly and firmly” against what it deems “unwarranted” visa bans issued by the United States against five European individuals involved in combating digital hatred and misinformation, an EU official has said.

EU Officials Condemn US Action as ‘Coercion’

European leaders including Emmanuel Macron accused the US administration of “bullying and threats”, after the travel bans targeted figures that were central to efforts to introduce legislation regulating American tech companies.
